The Faculty of Engineering in the University of North at Baia Mare has been founded in 1969, under the patronage of the Ministry of Education and Innovation, being part of the state higher technical education faculty network in Romania. The faculty has didactic laboratories for all courses listed in curricula and research laboratories organized in the structure of the research centers. Both teachers and students of the Faculty of Engineering are included in a number of collaborative programs to share teaching segment and research and development segment, with a range of external partners, most of them from Europe. The second basic component of the Faculty of Engineering is the scientific research, which is organized at the level of the four research centers, these centers being accredited and recognized by the Ministry of Education and by the National Council of Research in Higher Education (CNCSIS).
